White House Report: Building Neighborhoods of Opportunity

The White House Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative (NRI) team has posted the report released at the 2011 Neighborhood Revitalization Conference.

It includes a summary of the NRI, key elements, and summaries of promising practices. Importantly, it also cites specific federal funding streams and examples of how they have been used in neighborhood revitalization efforts across the nation.

The report, "Building Neighborhoods of Opportunity," can be found here. The PowerPoint presentation the NRI team gave is here.

A great write-up by the National League of Cities is here.
